It's that time of year again! All my shopping is complete and the presents are beautifully wrapped under the tree. The air is cold and we've already had our first mini round of snow here in Arkansas. My nephew's school Christmas program was this past Thursday which made me get in the Christmas music mood. I'm truly in the Christmas spirit this year (maybe it's the pregnancy). Also, it's so exciting to know that we will have a baby boy with us next Christmas! I think it will make the holidays that much more special.
I tried to make Christmas cookies a couple of days ago to pass out to family and friends. Needless to say, it was a disaster. I'm not sure what's going on with me and the kitchen these days, but we aren't getting along! This includes regular dinners too...it's quite a sad thing.
We started on the baby room!We chose a minty green color for the walls. Pictures will be posted once it's complete. Tyler has been so good. He has painted the room all by himself and done such a good job. He's going to be a great daddy!
Love.

19 weeks!
the big baby debut happens in 21 weeks! you know what i just now realized? i am almost halfway through this pregnancy. that is insane! i am feeling pretty good these days, thankfully. i have a doctors appointment tomorrow and we have decided not to take the blood test that determines our risk factor for our baby having down syndrome, spina bifida, etc. we will love our baby no matter what and don't need a test to tell us what could or what couldn't happen.
so i found this little stat update thing on one of my friends blogs and decided to use it on mine as well, but i'm changing it up a bit. enjoy...
size: 6 inches long and 1/2 a pound, compared to a mango!
how far along: 19 weeks! eeeeeek.
total weight gain: -12 pounds as of my last doctor appointment two weeks ago. i know i've lost weight, but the doctors aren't worried and they reassured me that it is normal.
sleep: i wake up a lot and sometimes i cannot get comfortable. it's definitely no longer comfortable sleeping on my stomach. i sleep mostly on my right side and my back.
food cravings : plain hershey's chocolate bars. this is not good people. i'm also craving a lot of breakfast foods and bananas.
upcoming doctors appointment: tomorrow! and november 23 :)
any movement: i'm starting to feel a little movement. the other day it felt like the baby was swimming circles in my belly. it's a crazy feeling, but one of the most amazing feelings too.
gender: we find out soon.
looking forward to anything: of course! our ultrasound on nov 23 when we find out the gender, thanksgiving with family, announcing the gender, starting on the nursery.
