Weekend Recap

Photos: gardening on Sunday

as you can see i'm trying out my green thumb. i've always been a horrible garden and that's saying the least about it. but i'm giving it another go around! i'm hoping that my motherly insticks will kick in now that i'm preggers and these mums and pansies will continue to be beautimus. (note to self: must water plants.) also notice the mini scarecrows. i thought these were adorable and totally scored them for one dollar each. def couldn't pass them up then! i also grabbed a few pumpkins at wallie world to add to the fall look that's currently taking over our front porch.

oh! also, saturday night was girls night. (='s love) at emily's apartment. i always have fun with that bunch of ladies! they really have taught me what it's like to have true friends that you can always count on. anyhoo, we all carved pumpkins free-handedly. so very fun and they turned out quite well!

Please excuse my grainy cell phone picture (it's all I had on me at the time).

i'm now into my second trimester (heel kicks)! and have noticed i've gotten a little more energy to do things. i picked up the house totally without complaint this weekend! oh oh oh and also had time to bake some yummy pumpkin muffins that left my house smelling fab.
ending this post with my doggy. he's kinda sweet sometimes.

told you.

Quick rambles.

days are getting shorter, trees are starting to change colors, and the idea of a pumpkin spice latte sounds pretty fabulous right now. there's something about fall that just makes it my favorite season of the year. maybe it's the perfect weather. maybe it's pumpkins. maybe it's halloween. heck, who am i kidding? it's everything!

as days go by, i keep wanting this pregnancy to speed up so i can finally meet my child. i'm so anxious and deeply excited. usually i can say something along the lines of "wow september flew by!" and it did. but at the same time, it was slooooooow. the waiting line seems so much longer when you have a cool prize (er, baby) at the end.

Hello fall.

well we're right on track with our little bun in the oven at 8 weeks along. it seriously feels like i'm 20 weeks. i guess because we found out so early.

i had anothe prenatal appointment this morning and i was a little bummed they decided not to hear the heartbeat like they told me they would at the previous appointment. they told me it probably wouldn't show up and i'd have to wait until closer to 12 weeks. okay okay i understand.

so saturday marks the first day of football season here in fayetteville. no one takes this sport lightly here. (note to self: stay inside during game times. people will hurt you.) there are tons of die hard razorback fans here that start tailgating at 9am for a 6pm game. true lovers right there. and i've never seen so many people wear red at once. it's a nice, homey feel though here in razorback country this time of year.
